Along with installing Central Air Conditioning, comes the inevitable electrical work that is associated with it. Many air conditioning contractors use sub contractors or leave you, the homeowner to procure your own electrician. We at Affordable Air & Heat have our own in house electricians, so we are not only able to save you money, (because our livelihood doesn't rely on our electrical division) we are able to handle the entire installation for you, leaving you free to do more important things, like enjoying your new found comfort. We handle everything, from the drawings, to the permits, to the installation, to the cleanup, all the way through to the final inspections.


			Here's an example of an electric service that was not large enough to handle the added load of central air. This service size was only 60 amps, and because this house was under 1500 square feet, as many are here in South Florida, the minimum size required was only 125 Amps.

			Here's the same house with a new 150 Amp electric service. You'll notice that we were able to use the existing "riser" (the pipe that goes up through the roof) to save the homeowner some money. Just another example of how we are always on the lookout for ways to save you money.


			Another example of saving the customer money was by using the existing electric panel in this house. Although we installed a 150 Amp electric service here, the South Florida Building Code allowed for this 125 Amp Main Panel inside the house to be re-used because the house was under the 1500 square foot mark.

	This customer got quotes from several contractors to upgrade his electric service ranging from $1,200 to $2,600. We were able to do it for just under $700. We could have taken advantage of this customer, but we chose to make sure that he was treated fairly and honestly, and now we have ANOTHER customer for life, and... it's the best advertising money can buy. We've already done 6 of his neighbors.
